Public school teachers in Mabalacat City received lapel voice amplifiers during the ceremonial turnover held on August 5, 2026, at Dau Elementary School. 
A total of 1,865 lapel voice amplifiers were distributed to teachers across the division. The initiative was made possible through the Department of Education Central Office, under the leadership of Secretary Sonny Angara, with funding support from the Office of the President Social Fund under President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. 
The ceremonial turnover, which was hosted by Dau Elementary School, under the leadership of Principal Jayson De Leon was attended by Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Armando C. Capili, Information Technology Officer Michael Villanueva, Supply Officer Emil Macapayag, school heads, and teachers from across the division. 
This project aims to support teachers in delivering lessons more clearly, particularly in large classrooms and during extended teaching hours to reduce voice strain. The devices are also expected to improve classroom communication during daily instruction. 
Teachers expressed their gratitude for the assistance, recognizing the lapel voice amplifiers as practical tools that will enhance teaching and learning in their respective schools.

Schools Division Superintendent of Mabalacat City Dr. Maria Carmen P. Cuenco, alongside Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Armando C. Capili, paid a visit to Congressman Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin Jr. today, March 12, 2026, for a landmark discussion on the proposed Mabalacat City Science High School.

Other key personnel from the Division of Mabalacat City who joined the visit included SGOD Education Program Supervisor Dr. Jeffrey G. Dela Cruz, Education Facilities Focal Person Engr. Kevin Nathz D. Ocampo and Procurement Officer Ricky John Manarang.

Upon presentation of Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) Resolution No. 200, s 2026 (Resolution Supporting the Establishment of Mabalacat City Science High School) duly signed by the members of the Mabalacat City SP, Hon. Lazatin pledged to file a bill in the House of Representatives legislating the establishment of the said school.

The MCScienceHS is expected to open in SY 2027-2028 at Brgy. Poblacion.

Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Maria Carmen P. Cuenco, together with SEPS Allan Ornulfo D. Ocampo, attended the Hearing Session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Mabalacat City in support of key education-related resolutions on January 23, 2026 at Tabnuan Cultural Center, Mabalacat City.

Present during the session were the Committee Chair on Education, Hon. Councilor Patricia Anne Acorda, and Hon. Councilor Benny Jocson. The hearing was also attended by the Barangay Captains of Dolores and Bundagul, showing strong community support for the proposed projects.

The session discussed the resolution to be endorsed to Congress the establishment of the Mabalacat City Science High School, as well as the resolution authorizing the City Mayor to transact or negotiate for the acquisition of land for the establishment of Dolores Elementary School and Bundagul Elementary School.

These initiatives highlight the shared commitment of the local government, community leaders, and the Schools Division in strengthening access to quality education and expanding school facilities in Mabalacat City.

Castro Jr., and Councilor Patricia Anne Acorda (Committee on Education) dropped by Lakandula ES and Dr. Adelaido C. Bernardo HS to see firsthand the status of the schools.
